Since being completed built at the end of March 2021, with the spirit of supporting and sharing the pressure for the Ministry of Health during the complicated and unpredictable developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, WTC Exhibition Center – Binh Duong New City (WTC EXPO) was temporarily transformed as a Field hospital No.1. with a scale of 1,500 beds.
Through a tough time fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, in November 2021, because of controlling the pandemic well and bringing people’s lives to the “new normal” state, the Field hospital No.1 was permanently closed. After that, WTC EXPO was in the process of disinfecting, repairing facilities, and reactivating operations to serve trade fairs and exhibitions in accordance with the world-class services.
On the morning of April 22nd, at the WTC EXPO, the launching ceremony of Caravan Fam trip 2022 – “Journey to the national treasure of Ngoc Linh – Kon Tum K5” in Kon Tum province organized by Binh Duong Tourism Association, marked the return of WTC EXPO. The Caravan Fam trip 2022 is an opportunity to introduce and promote the tourist destinations of Binh Duong province to other provinces. At the same time, they learn about the tourist destinations of neighboring provinces to form tourism connection programs between Binh Duong province and other provinces and vice versa. In addition, the event also marked the return of WTC EXPO.
Speaking about WTC EXPO, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of BECAMEX IDC Corporation said “WTC EXPO is an open door not only for the enterprise’s community in Binh Duong province but also all businesses across the country to connect to the world.”
Through the practical activities, the center will support and accompany the business to develop commerce, service, and trade promotions, contributing to the economic restructuring and bringing more value-added.
In accordance with the standards of ASIA MICE regarding facilities and high-quality services, WTC EXPO has the potential to become the first destination for the MICE industry, and industrial trade fair and exhibition shows.
