Để hiện đại hóa công tác quản lý xuất nhập cảnh, đồng thời nâng cao chất lượng phục vụ hành khách theo hướng nhanh chóng thuận tiện và an toàn, Cục Quản lý Xuất nhập cảnh Việt Nam chính thức áp dụng quy định mới đối với hành khách nhập cảnh qua Sân bay Quốc tế Tân Sơn Nhất như sau:

1. Applicable subjects

This regulation is mandatory for:

• Foreign nationals entering Vietnam
• Vietnamese people residing abroad (overseas Vietnamese) use visas to enter the country.

Not applicable to:

• Vietnamese citizens use Vietnamese passports.
• Passengers are only transiting and are not going through immigration procedures.

2. Content of the new regulations

Effective date: From April 15, 2026

• Declare your full personal information before arriving at the border crossing.
• After completing the declaration, the system will issue a confirmation QR code.
• Present the QR code to the border control officer at Tan Son Nhat International Airport when completing immigration procedures.

3. Declaration method

• Method 1 – Online registration: https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn/
• Method 2 – Scan QR Code: Use the QR code provided on official information channels (applicable from April 15, 2026)

Khuyến nghị:

• It is advisable to complete the declaration before departure to save time and avoid congestion at the immigration area.

4. Purpose and significance

Implementing the advance declaration requirement brings many practical benefits:

• Enhancing the effectiveness of state management in immigration and emigration.
• Reduce inspection and control time at border gates.
• Reduce traffic congestion, especially during peak hours.
• Enhancing the passenger experience, in line with the digital transformation trend.
