On August 24th, 2022, at the Convention and Exhibition Center of Binh Duong province, the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province coordinated with Becamex IDC Corporation to organize webinar “Taiwan Investment Promotion 2022”.
In Binh Duong, there were attendances of Mr. Nguyen Van Danh – Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan – General Director of Becamex IDC Corporation and leaders of Binh Duong Province’s departments, departments, agencies, and experts of Becamex IDC Corporation.
In Ho Chi Minh City, there were attendances of Mr. Truong Van Trung – Head of the Economic Department of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City.
From Dai Loan, there were attendances of Mr. Hu Chien Wei – Vice President of Taiwan Merchants Association in Binh Duong; Mr. Cao Dieu Van – Sales Director of Ernst & Young Vietnam Company, and more than 100 Taiwanese investors.
Representative of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, delivered a speech regarding the potential of FDI in Binh Duong Province. He stated that in 2022, the provincial socio-economic status will continue to improve, with several favorable and comprehensive outcomes in all sectors. Binh Duong’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) rose by 6.84% during the first six months of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. Binh Duong’s economic structure continues to move favorably toward gradually increasing the percentage of services, and industry, and maintaining and enhancing agricultural sectors at a reasonable level. Exports were worth 19 billion 181 million US dollars, while imports were worth 12 billion 792 million US dollars. This gave the country a trade surplus of about $6.4 billion US dollars.
]Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that Binh Duong expects to continue obtaining active cooperation from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Ernst & Young Company, and the Taiwan Merchants Association of Binh Duong province to support the province in calling for investment attraction and business relationship expansion with foreign partners to create a new breakthrough in the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the current process of deepening international integration.
