On January 30, 2026,. within the framework of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2026 held in Cebu, Philippines, WTC EXPO International Exhibition Center was honored with the ASEAN Tourism Award 2026 in the category of ASEAN MICE Venue Standard (Exhibition Venue) for the period 2026–2028.
WTC EXPO is proud to be one of five Vietnamese representatives recognized at this prestigious regional award, affirming its international-standard facilities, professional event-hosting capabilities, and significant contribution to the regional MICE ecosystem.
The award was nominated by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and officially recognized by the ASEAN Tourism Association, honoring outstanding MICE venues that contribute to high-quality tourism development and the enhancement of national destination branding.
Speaking to Tuoi tre Online, Ms. Huynh Dinh Thai Linh – Chief Executive Officer of WTC Becamex (a member of the Becamex Group, a state-owned enterprise under the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee) – said that following Ho Chi Minh City’s consolidation into a regional-scale metropolis, there is strong demand for large-scale, professional convention and exhibition centers that serve as hubs for trade and exchange between domestic and international business communities.
WTC BINH DUONG NEW CITY – A DESTINATION FOR ANNUAL SPECIALIZED TRADE EXHIBITIONS
Located within the North Ho Chi Minh City Science and Technology City, WTC EXPO is not only an event infrastructure facility but is gradually emerging as a destination anchor for the region. With a total area of 22,000 square meters, WTC EXPO caters to large-scale exhibitions and trade fairs, international conferences, and events, with a capacity of up to 10,000 attendees. The indoor exhibition space covers 12,000 square meters, while the outdoor exhibition area spans up to 10,000 square meters, supported by extensive parking facilities.
Notably, several annual, industry-focused exhibitions have demonstrated strong growth, such as the Vietnam Industrial & Manufacturing Fair (VIMF), Vietnam Warehouse & Automation Show (VWAS), the Vietnam–Korea Character & Licensing Fair (VKCLF), and BIFA Wood Viet Nam, and others.
In the coming period, WTC EXPO will continue to invest in improving operational quality, expand cooperation within the global WTCA network, and further strengthen its role as a platform for trade connectivity, trade promotion, and innovation thereby contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s MICE industry and enhancing the attractiveness of North Ho Chi Minh City within a multi-centered urban landscape.
