To modernize immigration management and enhance passenger service quality toward greater efficiency, convenience, and safety, the Vietnam Immigration Department officially introduces a new regulation for passengers entering Vietnam via Tan Son Nhat International Airport as follows:

1. Applicable Subjects

This regulation is mandatory for:

  • Foreign nationals entering Vietnam
  • Overseas Vietnamese (Viet Kieu) entering Vietnam using valid visas

This regulation does not apply to:

  • Vietnamese citizens holding Vietnamese passports
  • Transit passengers who do not complete immigration procedures

2. Key Requirements

  • Effective date: April 15, 2026
  • Passengers are required to complete a pre-arrival declaration of personal information prior to arrival at the immigration checkpoint
  • Upon completion, the system will issue a confirmation QR code
  • The QR code must be presented to immigration officers at the Border Control Police – Tan Son Nhat International Airport during entry procedures

3. Declaration Methods

Passengers may complete the declaration via:

  • Option 1 – Online Submission: https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn/
  • Option 2 – QR Code Access: Scan the official QR code provided through authorized communication channels (applicable from April 15, 2026)

Recommendation:
Passengers are strongly advised to complete the declaration prior to departure to save time and avoid congestion at immigration checkpoints.
