On the afternoon of June 19, the 1st Congress of the Binh Duong Supporting Industry Enterprises Association (BASI) for the 2025–2028 term was held at the Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Center.
The Congress emphasized the urgent need to establish BASI in the context of a globally shifting supply chain, ongoing trade conflicts, and the increasing demand for domestic production autonomy. The supporting industry continues to assert its critical role as the “backbone” of modern industrial development.
During the Congress, 33 members were elected to the Executive Committee for the 2025–2028 term, along with an Advisory Board of 6 experienced industry experts and business leaders. Mr. Vo Son Dien – Executive Director of Marketing at Becamex IDC, Standing Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, and former Chairman of the Binh Duong Young Entrepreneurs Association (terms IV and V) – was elected as the inaugural Chairman of BASI.
On this occasion, BASI and the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City (WTC BDNC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to leverage their respective strengths and work towards sustainable development, mutual benefits, and the promotion of local socio-economic growth.
The cooperation will be implemented based on alignment with each party’s policies and capabilities, ensuring sustainability, effectiveness, and mutual benefit. Key areas of collaboration include: joint development and implementation of investment and trade promotion programs; co-organization of conferences, exhibitions, and professional training to advance the supporting industry; fostering domestic and international business connections; and sharing information and jointly executing projects in strategic sectors. Where appropriate, both parties will also support each other in organizing or participating in domestic and international trade promotion and industry events.
This partnership marks not only a new milestone in the development of the supporting industry in Binh Duong, but also reflects a strong commitment to collaboration between organizations, businesses, and relevant authorities in enhancing competitiveness and driving sustainable economic growth.
